Default s-afc help

I just bought a apexi s-afc and i have a problem. when i turn on my car it turns ov3er but sounds like its going to die and slowly gets up to reg rev. it smells likes its getting to rich of fuel and the inside of my exhaust is black now. any ideas that may help? what should i set my settings? i have a 98 dx civic. any info would help a lot. thanks guys.

do you have a check engine lite? are all the sensor settings correct ie. in 6 out 6, sensor type: pressure, balh blah...if you increae the fuel over 12-14% at one point and induce a check engine lite, the car will do what your saying...need to know about a lite tho....

dont worry bout it my dumbass wired the pressure wires to the wrong spot. thanks anyways. it works nicely now !!!
