Running w/o EGR - question.
Is anyone aware if the stoich combustion temperature (at part throttle) is too high for a stock engine with the EGR removed ?
I assumed that you know the purpose of an EGR system
Please don't tell me it is to reburn unburned gas...
EGR lower combustion temp, thus reduce NOx since they are mainly produced at high temp AND allow to run stoich a/f without the high heat associated with stoich a/f ratio (fuel economy).
