Default Running Rich

I have the (chipped) p28 ECU for my b18c5. It seems that whenever I drive it –it always runs rich according to my air/fuel meter. Sometimes it would go in the middle of the gauge but most of the time it is in the green (when I am not at WOT). When I park my car at night I can smell the fuel. Should I be concerned? I know that lean condition is bad for the car however does excessive rich condition wipe the cylinder walls of needed oil. Does anyone know? Thanks

the reason you are running rich is because your ecu is chipped. because it is not a custom fuel map for your specific mods and engine it will not run its best. if you had a programmable system like hondata then you could tune it and run much better. running rich will leave unburned or partially burned fuel in your cylinders adn will cause carbon build up.
