Default Running with no gas

well i ran outta gas on the street... then i went to my local gas station, got some gas... then filled er up a gallon or 2... but now my car wont start... so i had it towed to my house... what do i need to check for?

your car is dead, I'll trade you my VW for it...

Are you letting the fuel pump prime a couple of times before starting?

Maybe the fuel system sucked up some gunk from the bottom of the tank that it normally wouldn't, also, let the pressure out of the gas cap, prime, etc.

If all else fails, one of the banjo bolts on the fuel filter is the highest point in the fuel system, and you can bleed air there...

let the pump prime for a couple minutes, then crank for a couple minutes. should do the trick. and get more gas, i know my car is harder to start when it has less than 2 gallons left.
