Is the rad fan running in the right direction, "pulling" air through the rad? 94

Stock or aftermarket rad?

If stock, is it a full or 1/2 rad? 94

Its possible the radiator does not have enough capacity to remove the amount of heat that is being produced by the engine.

Replace the rad with a full size one, at least double core.

I ran into a guy with a 1.8L LS swap in a CRX using the 1/2 rad last weekend, he was competing in the annual Knox Mountain Hill Climb, on his first pass he crossed the finish line with an overheating engine, that will happen when you drive all out for 2.2 miles up hill 800 feet around 9 corners in under 3 minutes using a1/2 rad and leaving the block plate in place, I suggested he at least remove the block plate to get better air flow over headers and engine, that helped a little but he will be replacing the rad. 94

i just bought an aluminum radiator with 33% more capacity than my stock 92 integras and a dual fan set up, upper and lower polished tanks, and tube and fin design. i read reports and feedback on it, it seems like an excellent product with a 3year warranty. the only thing is, its not a major brand name, its made by godspeed. but with a 3 year warranty, its better than koyo and mishimoto. do u think its a good buy? hasnt been delivered yet

I'd say its one of two things:

1. The tune. Timing issue perhaps, causing excessive EGT's.

2. Cooling fan problem?
