Rsx Type-s 05 Mod Time
Whats up people , listen i'll be blunt and true.
This is my first, Ever Honda/Arcua ...
And i'm now just learning about this motor the 2.0 liter v-tech.
So i would say i'm a newb when it comes to v-tech's ..
I wont get into why i jumped over from german tuner cars ..
But there was something i liked about this model ..
Now i'm looking to mod ...
So far i looked over some turbo ( bolt ons) set ups by greddy ..
Injen air in takes .. pullys , cams .. etc ...
Currently my car Stock has somewhere around 210 hp
Bassically what i'm asking is .. how can i get this car to around 300hp ..
Safely , and with out going too extreme ?.

He was just correcting your spelling of VTEC, there is no dash. Regardless, it's not a B18C either, if it's a new '05 RSX. Those have a K20 series motor in them, different from the B-series motors.
For the RSX, I've heard the '05 is a tad quicker than the '01-'04 model, so you're already ahead. Many people get the normal intake/exhaust/header and a Hondata setup, and dip well into the 13's. I don't know where exactly that puts you for BHP or WHP, but it's better than stock and fairly quick for a car with basic bolt-ons.
I don't know how much aftermarket there is for the RSX yet, as far as cams/pulleys/valves/retainers/etc, but it's growing nonetheless. There are some running turbo setups that would certainly put you over the 300hp mark. But remember, with the turbo setup comes the expense of reliability. If you want reliability and safety, I would stay N/A and see what you can get. Not to say that turbo isn't reliable, because it can be with a good tune and good parts. Some will say they've have their car boosted for x years with xx,xxx miles on it with 0 issues, but you're more likely to have issues IMO.
Check out the RSX forums on here, as well as some other RSX websites. http://www.clubrsx.com is one I know of, although I don't know the quality or integrity of it.
Best of luck, you're not too far away from where you want to be I don't think.

what he said.
no point in getting header if your going turbo, but you can use your intake pipe still.

your looking around 220hp. i would just remove my stock cat-back system and install a straight pipe to a straight through muffler, along with intake and a nice header. hondata is a must! i gained 35 hp to the wheels with hondata. of course that was all thanks to my tuner=>Pro Street Import
