Default RPM's going up and down

When i park my car and i'm about to turn it off I have noticed that the rpm's rev up a little bit (only like a couple of the dashes on the tach). I have a 97 gsr in case you are wondering. Also, my car idles at close to 2k when i first turn it on in the morning..how do i adjust this?

That's your fast idle valve. . . .it's on the bottom of your throttle-body. They're two 8mm bolts that hold the cover to it. Take them off and turn the screw clock-wise until it's tight, then turn back a half a turn. That should do it.
