Default Blowing Fire., Help me out

Hey guys give me some insight on how to set it up so my H22a1 blows fire out the exhaust. I want it to look killer at the drag strip.

Thanks

either do the old school spark plug trick. Or set your car up to run drasticlly rich.

you can either do what they said, or get a blow torch and turn it on when you run

You'll have to run pretty rich to get flames with your cat in there...so you may just want to straightpipe it.

If you just install a fuel pressure riser, or some other linear method of increasing fuel pressure and/or injector duration across the entire rev-band, then you will simply be running rich. However, you will lose power down low (and thus have crappy drag times), and perhaps at the top end as well if you run super rich. Further, by running rich, you will have cooler exhaust gas temperatures, and thus, the extra unburnt fuel may not get ignited at all.

The proper way to adjust fuel delivery is to use an air/fuel controller, and keep it at stoich down low, but have it put a wall of fuel into the engine right before your shift point.

Keep in mind that at the drag strip, your car won't be hot enough just waiting in line to blow flames, especially on a normally aspirated car. If you have a turbo or supercharger, it's much easier.

Don't run too rich, whatever you do, or else you will wash your cylinder walls and end up scoring them.
