rough idle question
ok my 97 ek hatch 1.6
once the car warms up the idle goes up and down up and down if i tap the gas it stops sometimes. the only code i have is primary o2 but the car runs great other than the idle issue. if i unplug the map it stops if i unplug the tps it stops but idles up ive checked for vacume leaks and i found none. any help would be great

maybe.. the only car we had this happen to is an 87 civic si...
TB gasket, IACV, FITV, fuel management... thats some of the **** I would check. if worst comes to worst... bust out the tools and start an air intake rebuild
this is confusing me...

You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere. Unplug the IACV, this should make the leak much more audible. If your idle is over 450rpm without the IACV, you more than likely have a leak. Gradually pinch off the PCV hose with a pliers and towel to decrease the idle further, until you have isolated the leak.
