Default rod bearings and mains

So say I just got your block sleeved, and palnning on going turbo, I purchased some after market pistons and rods. My question is .... When you get the rods are they within OEM specs that I could just use the same color bearings or not? And what if I go with ACL bearings?

if you go with ACL they are all gonna be the same size (green) but if you wnat oem (i would) you need to know what size the rod bores are, eagles for gsr/h22 are #3, then you go by the number on the crank and selct the color of bearing you need. it's best to find out what # the bore is for and take it to the service counter at the dealership.

For the mains, I also like perfer to Honda bearings, but if its sleeved and forged internals, why not get the block alignhoned. If I did that then I would just go with ACL's, The differences between the bearings are small that they're still within spec if you mix them.

Yes, the rods should be within OEM specs and you can use the normal bearings.

BUT DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING ANYWAYS! Do no skip this part of the motor build process!
