first off i got on the throttle full and the rpm got stuck at 6k and everytime i start the car it revs to 6k and stays there i change the tps out and checked all vac what could this be please anyone

 

check the T-body, linkage and gas pedal. Something is hung up.

 

This happened to me when I first installed my turbo kit on my old Si. When I installed my fmu I had to move my alarm siren out of the way. We forgot to tie it down and it got in the way of my throttle cable and half way down the street the car went to full throttle.

 

is it hitting a rev limit of 6k?

 

i ound the probelm it was a vav leak behind the manifold but not it starts and idles fine but when i give it gas it dies out could this be becuase of the new tps or something else

 

swap the tps and map sensor wires
u may have them backwards

 

well it starts and than it dies when givein gas and i just did the volt test on the tps working good and map good could i have another vac leak if not could it be my msd ignition system
