Retrieve engine codes from 99 civic with obd-1 ecu
Hello I have a 99 civic dx hatch with obd-1 p75 ecu How would i go about getting the check engine codes? Thanks for any help
right.
any good adapter harness should allow use of the service check connector to flash the codes on the dash.
however if it's been hacked together then grounding pin D4* (service check connector) will blink the MIL control pin A13* (this grounds the light on the dash which receives power from the fuse block.)
*pin numbers correspond to OBD-1 locations.

Thanks! I have a jumper harness from ebay it looks well made, but who knows. So does the 99 civic dx hatch have a service plug? do you know where it is located ? Thanks again for your help.
yeah. the common location which is normally just above the ECU near where the top of the kick panel is. may be in a rubber holder or just hanging loose. pretty sure it's always blue.
