are the threads in the crank damaged or just the threads on the bolt?

if its just the bold that is damaged then replace it and try again.

if the threads in the crank are damaged you might have to change the crank unless you are really good at drilling and tapping without messing it up anymore than it probably is.......

ouch......just saw those pictures.....not good.

im gonna give you some really wise advise......pull the engine out and replace it. end of discussion.

i can guarentee you will spend about tripple the ammount of time and headache trying to drill and tap that forged steel crank than you would in swapping out the engine.

also in the end im pretty sure you will never acutally manage to properly tap those holes perfectly and you will strip out the new threads you just made. also....i can guarentee you will crack a bunch of taps doing so....

good luck
