Default retard timing w/ chipped ecu???

I have a skunk2 program for my LS w/ camgears IHE & ran 15.2 @91.7mph
my timing was advanced to 18 & i was just told recently in a post that it should be set back to 16 or even at 14. It's suppose to bring my time down to high14's.
It's suppose to be better??? Is this true???

TIA

i would beleive so. if your timing is at 18 degrees and you have that program it obviously going to advance your timing past 18 degrees right
