Restoring the Interior panels/pieces
Anybody ever try restoring the interior panels/pieces attached to the interior of the car such as the dashboard, side panels, a pillars, etc ? Some of the stuff I have has scratches.
Figured I'd ask here on Honda-tech if anybody has any special treatments or remedies to cure these things before I start scratching and turning it into an even worse mess ?

This is pretty much the final answer. You can dye the pieces back to stock color if they've faded, but the removal of material (scratches and gouges) is pretty much permanent. Anything you do to repair the scratches won't preserve the original texture.
This is why many people just wrap the plastic pieces in fabric.

What part of "No" is tripping some of you up? You cannot restore these pieces to an original state once they've been that messed up. There is no "how". I'm saying if you doubt that then go ahead and try it. You won't find anyone that has done it because of the reason I gave you either.
You can try and track down that crap the used to sell way back before "As Seen On TV" where you could repair leather and vinyl with some goop and an iron. It was supposed to be undetectable when finished. But if you actually believe that it worked then I have a bridge to sell you.

Are you guys serious??? They most certainly can be restored to look brand new. Is it worth all of the effort? Nope. Is it cheaper to buy them brand new? Yes. And don't tell me otherwise because I watch people do it every single day at work to leather and plastic. This morning I saw a tear get fixed in a $100k truck that has a leather dash. Glued, painted, and retextured
We're talking about scratches and gouges in the textured cheap plastics that come in Hondas not the pleather in an old Ford truck. But if you know of a method or place PLEASE by all means let the OP know where to go instead of saying you saw it done.
If the OP was smart he'd take your suggestion and just go get them replaced. Plenty of intact parts in junkyards, for sale on Ebay or from Honda themselves.

The same process can be done with plastics too but like I said, it'll cost more to have it fixed then to just go buy it new from Honda. I'm just making a point that it can be done and you're so adamant about it being impossible
Here. I'll do it for you.
Kinda like the old school stuff I was talking about but with no iron. Just more complicated and more expensive. Will your results come out like this? More than likely not. Especially since it looks like you need training to do it effectively. So even though it looks like it can be done, I stand by what I said that you can't do it.
Jesus christ, sorry for throwing out a question.
Locating information on how to restore panels is pretty seldom on the internet.
Figured I'd give it a shot by possibly asking the pro's, but it's done and over with. Conclusion.

yeah, i guess marc has a reputation to maintain instead of being helpful, polite or quiet...
but the stuff is cheap new at the dealer, or from craigslist from parted "racecars"...

Didn't see anyone throwing out any solutions either, regardless on the comments of my demeanor. The consensus is that it's cheaper to buy new panels. Maybe throw out a question that maybe has some thought behind it instead of "I wonder if...?" or "Wouldn't it be cool...?"
As has been mentioned, if it is plastic, vinyl, leather or pretty much anything in a car, it can be repaired to look like new, also as mentioned, it is not something you can do on your own, it takes a pro, lots of equipment time and MONEY, if it was one scratch in a rear quarter trim panel, then yes it may be worth it, but also as mentioned it can be cheaper to replace with new pieces from the dealer.
Also as mentioned, a bone yard, [PicknPull] is your best friend, it may take some time but you can find all the pieces you need in "mint" shape, I did for my 94 RS, little by little piece by piece over the last few years I have "picked" from more then a few G3 Integras a complete "mint" black interior/off white head liner, that will go in next year, just need a few more "clips/retainers" and floor mates, [hard to find good ones]94
BTW EF9_TryMe empty your IM, you are full, making it hard to respond to your IMs
