Default Resonator + Muffler

I need to lower my db's for inspections. Right now I have a straight pipe with one resonator. Should I replace the resonator with a muffler or use them both? I am not sure if the resonator lowers my db's any or not, it drones alot.

Yes. Do both. Resonator & muffler. Will quiet down a lot. Either use cherry bomb or purple hornies glass packs for a resonator. Or get one from jegs/summit racing. As per the mufffler, something not straight through will work.

Also, what type of catalytic converter do you have? Oem, hi-flow, straight pipe?

Having a different type of cat. Conv will also change the sound of the exhaust

Hi flow cat. I actually dont think I have room for both my resonator and muffler until I get up underneath and measure.
