Default Replacing a tie rod end (myself)

I bought a left inner tie rod end for my 93 Prelude. The original one has play in the ball joint. I want to get under there in my driveway with a couple wrenches and slap the new one in there myself (then have an alignment done immediately, of course). The idea here is to save money. Do you have any advice? Don't worry, I'm mechanically inclined. What tools will I need? What do I need to know?
Thanks.
-Dan
P.S. I've got the blood-and-cursing part figured out already. ; )

the easiest is keeping the tie rod end ball joint attached to the knuckle, and then get one wrench and hit the locking nut the right way.. this is the easiest way, i just did it
