are there any good writeups on how to do this, i have searched but cant find asny

Its not hard. Just pull the head and drop the oil pan. Disconect the connecting rods and pull um out the top. Just like on an engine stand but youre on yor back. Lol

it is very simple just a big pain in the butt.......it is just like doing it with the engine out just a lot more moving back and fourth

Really it all depends, on how Familar you are with What you doing. When i did it it took me all day. But most of that was also prep work. Like cleaning everything up real good. Justt take your time and try not to rush. Also make sure you buy new Rod Bearings as that was my downfail. I ran out of cash and didn't do it. Well it cost me a motor about 15000 miles down the road.
