Default Replacing CM flywheel friction surface?

Has anyone actually done this? I know that your supposed to resurface your flywheel when ever you replace the clutch but do I really need to replace this evertime or can it last through a couple clutches?

Also CM wants $100 + shipping for a new friction surface. Does anyone know where to get one cheaper?

thanks.

just look at the condition of it when you take it off, if its thin, replace it

I have a Fidanza which is basically the same thing. I paid $90 + shipping for my replacement friction surface. Any of their retailers should be able to get them or you can order from clutchmasters themselves.

The kit came with 2 friction surfaces and replacement nuts and screws.
