Default removing sound deadening.

I know, this topic has been beat to death BUT... I have uesd dry ice to remove 90% of the sound deadening, how do i get off the little bits that are left, especially around the plugs. If i wire-wheel them, will it not just melt real fast. The reason i want it all off is because its going to be getting painted and i would like it to look decent. The paint im using is bedliner so it will be thick and little scratches will be filled but i dont want to have little chunks of sound deadening here and there.

I used laquer thinner, it takes of the paint though on the painted parts of the car...BUT yeah it works great, that and a lot of time, a scraper, and more time.
