Default Removing Rubber O-ring on 90 teg caliper

Does anyone know how to remove the large o-ring on a brake caliper? I need to remove it so I can get it powdercoated. Tried pullint it off and it ripped a bit. Can it be removed?

are you talking about the the piston dust cover?
if so theres a metal ring holding it in there, i sugest getting a rebuild kit and just rebuilding themwhen there done. the metal ring looks like the ring that holds the stearing wheel plastic(base of stearing wheel) togather
