Default removing rod/piston pins

how is the piston pin removed, is there a special tool to hammer it out?

can you be more specific? how are they pressed out and why are they heated up?

in my honda service manual it has special tool that fits inside the actuall pin but the lip rest on the outer diameter of pin. i guess the heat if for the expanding/contracting of the metals...
