Default Removing Exhaust Manifold stud

Need some tips on how to remove a stubborn *** stud in my head. I got the other 8 out. I have broke 2 pairs of vice-grips already, popped veins in my hands from tightening them so they don't slip. First I used the two nuts method. Then the one nut, and strip the end of the stud. Then vice grips, now i grinded down the sides so they're flat to get more grip, and still nothing. I've tapped it with punch and hammer. I'm running out of ideas. Need some help

torch them up. The bolt will expand and be easier to turn.

Buy a stud remover. I got mines from kragens for 20 bucks. Got it out with ease.

I also have a snap on pliers that I call parrot jaws, I don't know the real name. But anyhow, they work really well on getting studs out. Heat the hell out of it. Let it cool, and it should come out fairly easy. Remember if it gets tight on you again, walk it back and forth, don't keep trying to loosen it. Tighten it a little, and loosen it.

GUYS hella easy trick my dad just taught me (may not work if they're REALLY beat up from pliers but worked for me on my f22b swap)

put 2 of the same nuts on the stud

to tighten crank on the outside nut
to loosen crank the inside nut

they work against each other and make the stud+nuts a unit you can uninstall & reinstall

This works well also, but I'm sure he will have to heat his a little bit.

get a stud remover. They dont have any threads inside, its a couple of shafts that have a little play in them and when a stud is inserted into the remover, the shafts bind up and bite down extremely hard, plus there is like 6 of them inside it, so you get a really good bite on it.

heres craftsman version its a little different then a tool truck version

heres a cornwell version. Ive got this and Ive never had a problem with pulling a stud. Ive even pulled broken ones with it as long as there is just a little sticking out to grab onto.
