Removing diff bolts that had loctite thread locker
I installed a 4.7 ring gear to my brand new Quaife LSD and used Loctite Red thread locker. Well I changed my mind and now I want to switch back to my 4.4 GSR final gear.
Loctite said the Red threadlocker will come off if I applied heat to the bolt before removing , but if I dont want to risk the ring Gear/LSD case from warping?
They also said that if I dont use heat that I could potentially damage the threads on the LSD. Personally I dont care about damaging the diff bolts I can always buy new ones. What I dont want is is damaging the LSD threads.
Heres a youtube video of Loctite Red threadlocker removal..
