Remove the Timing Balancer Belt
Hey,
I've been reading in places that remove the balance shafts can give your motor a little HP boost. I've read its around 15hp but that seems like alot for a couple of shafts.
Anyway, I was wondering if just removing the Timing Balancer Belt would have the same effect? It would mean the engine isn't driving the shafts right?
Also, does the Timing Balance Belt drive the oil pump, I noticed that the oil pump and the intake side balance shaft seem pretty snug. What drives the oil pump? Is it the crankshaft?
Some info would be gladly appreciated. Its a F20B if anyones wondering. Twin Cam VTEC.
Thanks!
