Default Removal of Flywheel

ok, right now im in the process of taking out the flywheel(b18c). im using an extended 12pt 17mm socket and i tried taking the bolts off, but i'm scared of strippin the bolt. i'm gonna go pick up a standard 12pt 17mm and see if that helps.

if anyone has any informative information, i'd really appreciate it. thanks

just make sure you have a friend lock down the flywheel by lodging a screwdriver thru the starter teeth or you can mount a home made bracket to a pressure plate bolt hole and a tranny bolt hole to lock the flywheel in place.

use a breaker bar not a ratchet, that will help... 18" long works great!
give it a good tug or two and they should break loose.

good luck bro

Just keep pressure on the breaker bar towards the bolt. If it can't work its way off then it can't get stripped.

Thanks, J
