Default Relocating battery in engine bay.

Has anyone gone about mounting the battery on one of the frame rails in the engine bay? If so were exactly is a good place to mount it? I was thinking on the inside near the front of the tranny. If anyone has pictures or more advice that would be very nice..

What is your motivation for moving it from its current location? Unless it's mounted far out near the front bumper, the location in front of the firewall is a good spot as far as weight distribution goes.

The reason is to be able to mount a catch can of some sort where the battery is at. That's the main reason.

I would try to find an alternate location for the can rather than the battery.

If you truly want to relocate the battery, your best would be somewhere in the trunk, preferably as close to the rear axle line as possible.
