Default rebuilt engine throwing code 3 and 5

I just rebuilt my b18c1 and I'm trowing a check engine light which the Haynes manual say its the manifold absolute pressure. It goes back off when you shut the car off and on and it take a little it for it to come back on. It seems to idle good and smooth. The book says check the map sensor. What could it be I did not a have this problem before the rebuilt motor. It also seems like I am getting bad gas mileage.

There is this piece that I broke that's on top of the intake manifold which is the VALVE ASSY., PURGE CUT SOLENOID. The piece on top of it FILTER ASSY., SOLENOID VALVE is what broke off. Here is a diagram of it numbers 6 and 8. http://www.acuraautomotivepart...ormal Could that have anything to do with the check engine light?

first off did you build it for high compression or low. and second your going to be throwing codes left and right unless you get a tune and/or a new ECU. dont trip. you have a crank sensor and cam sensors. your cars sensors are not accustomed to a change in the compression and amount of air and fuel coming in. or exhaust going out. if it runs fine and sounds good then i say screw the codes. there are no knocks right??!!

word. that is probably throwing the code. even if it isnt you should probably replace the parts. i mean your engine wont be [freak]ed if you dont, but replace those parts. it will be worth it in the long run
