Default Rear Disc Conversion for Civic

I recently checked a junkyard for a trailing arm (mine is bent) and decided to ask for pricing on a rear end off an Integ for the rear disc brakes. I was thinking about doing a rear disc conversion for my Civic, but had a quick question... What are the advantages of doing a drum-to-disc conversion?
The junkyard quoted me $275 for the rear end... is that a decent price?
This is my first Honda I'm modding, so I new at this...
Thanks

Rear disc conversion is always a plus. You will definetly feel a difference after you do a drum to disc conversion and It looks so much cleaner when you put aftermarket rims on. If I were you I would definetly do it but at the same time i would try to get the gsr front brakes also. There much bigger than your stock civic ones. About the price Im not too sure but you can always buy of somebody at honda-tech for all four of them.

I would buy them off someone, but I can't post in the Honda-Tech Classified forum yet. But If I were to get GSR front brakes, would it be just the discs I would need or would there be other parts. I've done the search but can only find parts that people are selling.

I almost did a rear disc conversion on my civic a couple of months ago, money did not allow me at the time though.

If I were youd Id search f/s forums, people sell GSR brakes alot, and you'll also get an idea how much they go for on the street.

Its also a good idea if you plan to build your car for more power in the future

I swapped out the front and rear on mine a while ago... what a difference. I also put the 15/16 MC and 40/40 proportioning valve on. A friend of mine with an FD rx7 said he wished his breaks felt as good as they do on my civic.
