I'm buying a Rsx Type-S, and I really want to buy the Mugen ECU which can not be re-tuned. I really want it because of the i-vtec point and the Red line. And the fuel is tuned to Mugen's best ability.

With That said.......

I will be buy other performance parts, like Toda Cam shafts, header, Intake, Exhaust. Will these things work better with the Mugen ECU or will I Lose performance?????? I just want to get the best out of the products and the car.

 

here's the problem I see with non custom programs: they are very generic and will not take into account any specific mods you have. For the price you pay for the ecm with a chip, you could throw a Hondata in there and be able to get new chips when you need to. If you run the Mugen ECM with Toda cams and so on.. there won't be much tuning you can do. You may be running too rich even with the Toda's. The I/H/E will make a difference by themselves, and using the Mugen you'll see some gains. But when you get into actual parts and tuining, you'll realize you've wasted your $$ just for some quick thrills.

 

Hondata. Or at least a Hondata rewrite for now and every time you upgrade.
