Default Reading Codes?!

When i get ready to do my swap, i want to know how to read and fix the error codes it may throw at me. i have heard alot about people swapping motors and then getting codes. what are these codes, how do i interpret them and how do i go about fixing them? help! (btw, yes i'm new to hondas, so help a brother out)

Check-Engine light. Also known as ECU error codes. How to retrieve them depends on what year/model car you're talking about. If it's a '98 that's OBD-2 & you can go to AutoZone & they read em (probably for free).

They are also called DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), but if you do a search im sure you can find alot of information.

how do you check them yourself? i saw sumthing about the # of blinks it does?

You jump pins 4 and 9 on the data link connector to get the cel to flash the code/s.
