reading a CEL code without a code scanner?

Default reading a CEL code without a code scanner?

anyone know how to read check engine codes from a ford/mercury without a code reader? or at least point me in the right direction like a forum?

I'm no scientist, but I would think that Honda-Tech is probably the LEAST likey place to have this information. Have you even searched for a Ford forum?

yeah for real man. no disrespect or nothin but i think yer lookin in the wrong place
for that info. i mean, i dont really think any of us on this site have 5.0 motors in our civics man. me myself, i have a stock intercooled mustang type r with a rotary engine and pistons. i had enough nitrous in it to blow myself up but i took it out cuz i needed graphics and a new wing on my car and i got sick of running 10's in the quarter mile. as for the answer to your question, you might be able to find it

well actually its a mercury mystique(contour) taht my mom drives that has a cel, and I figured I wouldnt get much info on here but theres 150,000 users on here at least someone could point me to the right forum instead of giving smart *** comments

All I'm saying is that it's not a huge feat to find a forum for something as popular as a ford/mercury/whatever, and a Honda forum isn't the most likely place...
