Re-Thread Axel End
I cant get the axel nut on, the threads really dont look to fubared but does anyone know what size die you would need. Machine shop? They are 90-93 da teg axels, the fit the standard 32 mm nut.
Snap-on sells a die to rethread the axle from the inside(good) threads out toward the end, but I think was about 200 for the set of 4. You can also try use a file and file down(taper) axle end so the nut passes the bad threads and bolts onto the good ones.
dude to taper the thread is stupid
just get a good thread file (it is a file shaped like a triangle of a file that liiks like it has a thread that was stretched flat and has the same pitch as the threads on the bolt or in your case axle end) your axle has a 1.5mm thread pitch so all you need to do is get a thread file and fix the junked threads and you are done
or you can just get a new axle
