RE-chipping P28
I have a P28 that is already chipped...vtec x-over is at 4500, too low for me...I want to get another chip, on ebay or somethin, is the swap as easy as taking the old one out and putting the new one in???
Depends on whether a socket was used or the chip was directly soldered to the board. Mine was directly soldered, so I sent it to Kenjii for him to unsolder the old chip and solder on a new socket so that I can easily change chips.
I'd reccomend something custom over the ebay crap chips, also I can walk you through determining if you are socketed or directly soldered, and custom program a chip for your application.
Congratulations on not being a ricer. Most people want vtec as low as possible... Without realizing it's there to sacrifice torque for top-end, doh!

I just noticed on my ECU it says "socketed P28"...i'll open it up later and look inside...where can I get some custom chips? I'm looking for vtec x-over at maybe 5600 and fuel cut at 8500.

I can help you.
what kind of programming are you looking for? What I mean is, slightly enhance/semi-enhanced or full blown race program?
