Rattling noises from suspension??
Hi, in need of some advice/suggestions.
I have Koni Yellows and H&R race Springs on my Civic Hatch - see pic below.
Now, Irelands roads are pretty **** compared to your US roads or thos in the UK, so maybe I just notice this more than I would if I lived elsewhere.
But when I go over rough ground, i.e. badly laid tarmac or small potholes, or going over speed ramps, I hear a fair bit of rattling coming from the suspension, mostly from the front, tho some from the rear aswell.
I was fairly sure that I shouldnt get rattling cos I didnt just change springs only. It also doesnt happen when cruising on open good road even tho there are imperfections in our motorways that make it a little bumpy(prob also cos I have the rear set on medium rather than soft.)
Im fairly sure that I put everything back together right after fitting, as these are my second set of springs on the car(first set were too soft ¬ low enough), tho I am gona pull everything aprat n make sure soon as I finish my exams.
I also have uprated hard-poly(not polyeurethane) bushes on the outter two control arm bushes on each side on the rear, and then on the damper-control arm bushing on the front - but I had this problem before I got those on. -btw, to any1 considering uprating bushings - DO!! Its a major difference. Much more secure handling, less "washy".
