Default Rain 1 - Me 0

Welp, i didnt want to go out today, but i had to. I didnt think the rain would be that bad considering the weather here lately. But sure enough, on my way i came up on a huge flooded intersection, i tried to turn the car off but it was too late. i sat for awhile and then i completely took the intake off and tried to start it but it wouldnt even turn over once.
I figure its hydrolocked, so what next? =[

Pull the plugs, imediately, then crank the engine over a couple of times. This will clear the water from the cylinders. Do this soon, if the water stays in the cylinders it will cause corrosion on the walls and rings fairly quickly (Hours). Next dry out the inside of the distrubutor. This should get you back up and running.

If the car isn't too old, call up the insurance company and claim hydrolock. I say if it isn't too old cause they could total it and then you have a salvage title .(not that there's anything wrong with that).

to cold air intakes, heh i had one my my old Si, right now i have a shortram and that is exactly the reason why i wont be getting a cold air intake, or atleast take it out in the winter season, i dont think the extra 3-4 hp of so called cold air is worth loosing a engine over. and it seems puddles are almost unavoidable here in cali, heh

so you tak eout the start plugs and with them out you try and start the engine a few times then you clean the distributor and it should cure it?
