Radiator fan wiring identification?
I am in the process of installing my new radiator fan, but before I wire up the radiator fan wire to the existing harness, I notice there is some kind of a junction in between two wires going to the harness plug and to the radiator fan itself.
What is the purpose of this junction? Thanks for any help.

That is a radio noise filter. Brush-type DC motors can generate RF noise that interferes with radio reception. The filter stops the noise from getting into the car wiring and then to the radio. The fan will work without it.
That would be correct, if you wire it backwards all that would happen is the read fan would run in the opposite direction, [backwards] resulting in poor cooling if fan is on and car is moving forwards. 94
