Default radiator fan not working help!!!!!

radiator fan is not working. I just swapped a d16z6 engine in a 95 cx. I connected the vtec yesterday. I cut the 2 wires at the in the car original harness to send then directly to the ecu. What could be wrong I checked the radiator fan fuse, it's ok The temperature guage seems to work fine. What could it be??? The two wires in the harness that I cut, relay? I jumped the fan it works good. Maybe the fan switch??? My condensor fan is working good... Need help ASAP!!!

How long did you have the ca ron before you decided it was long enough for the fan to turn on?

Sometimes my car takes as much as 40 minutes to warm up while just sitting there...

Oh ok. Did you replace the relays? Take the thermo fan switch out, get a multi-meter (voltmeter) and use the resistance feature. Check resistance at room temp, and slowly boil water with the thermo fan switch in there, and monitor the resistance as the temps increase... did that make sense?

I like to isolate one variable at a time to better troubleshoot.

yep makes sense. Is there a wire in the wiring harness related to the fan motor? because when I plugged the vtec I cut two wires next to each other and plugged them right in the ecu (yellow-grn and blue/blk) if I can remember

From the ecu? I dunno... never thought about that. If you are in question to which sensor is the one that turns on the fan, simply jump the connectors on the lil plastic clip and see if the fan turns on. I recently had to get a new one of these, mine broke off in the head... i think it was somewhere around 30 bones
