Default B18C Tranny or B

HeLp

Ok, I'm looking rebuild a head, I'm really intent on it being of a 1.8.

I intend to match it up to a decent block (whether I buy it built or build it too is to be decided), my final intentions are to Turbo it (but I won't get into deep detail) and drop it in my 97 Civic Coupe.

I am lazy, live in a big city and this is my daily and only driver. Hence I wanna keep the car automatic, Is there a tranny + ecu that will serve my needs? even if I have to buy it new.

I recommend b18b LS block with LS tranny if you plan on turbo'ing daily driver.

If you don't plan on racing it often, LS tranny will suffice fine. If you plan on making it somewhat fast, do the GSR tranny. Anyone that says LS tranny is better for turbo is a retard. Faster gearing is better for almost any application, if you don't plan on getting walked by stock Neons

that's what I've been thinkin...
But I do wanna keep it automatic and definitely DON'T plan on racing much.. just more of a pet project.
I've pretty much stopped caring on the Vtec or not thing..

But next and still main question... LS carries the B18B non-vtec motor, correct? and it CAN be found in automatic?

Yes it is an non-vtec motor and can be found in automatic.

We have chosen have now chosen an engine... now I jus need to hunt one down (as if it were to be that easy)...

Please don't hate me guys but I WILL be back askin many a question.

This board rocks and I'm beyond glad I found it... MUCH props to the host/and master and of course ALL the mods

(can ya tell i'm a lil happy )
