Radiator fan not activating
Im repairing the front end of my car. Today I put the new radiator in, hooked everything up, including the fan, and let it run for about 15 mins. The car reached core temp after about 5-7minutes but the fan never came on. Is this something to be concerned with or does the fan take longer to activate? Is there a way I can be sure the fan is functioning? Thanks in advance.

I think that you need to let it warm up more. If its just sitting, it takes a while to warm up... So take if for a drive and then sit and rev it up to about 3k and see if it comes on after a few miniutes... thats what it took on mine.. Good luck

Did you check the fuse under the hood? Do the fans work with the a/c on? It could be a few things, burnt fuse, bad engine coolant temperature switch, or bad fan. Hope this helps.
I think that if you turn out A/C on that the radiator fan will also come on- I had the same problem until my car overheated and the head gasket blew, so be careful..

Yup check your fuses and double check to make sure you hooked up the fan as well.

EDIT: I can get the a/c fan to spin when the a/c is on, but its LOUD(which means something musvte been bent and rubbing on it) But the radiator fan does not turn on...

the cooling fan should turn on when you do this. if the fan doesn't turn on then it is either not getting power, the fan itself is bad, the cooling fan relay is bad, or the wires for the water temp switch are not correct.

Just keep an eye on the it while you're running the car. Mine did that also, but it eventually came on when it heated up more than the normal operating range. If it doesn't click on, you can temporarily hardwire the fan until you get it solved in order to avoid overheating.

Make sure that you're jumpering the wire for the fan switch. On my cars that's on the thermostat housing near the lower radiator hose.
The ECT sensor looks sorta similar, but it's located near the upper radiator hose. If you jumper that wire you'll just mess yourself up...
