Radiator fan never shuts off...
before ignition on the second switch the fan turns on... takes my car a long time to warm up, up to 30 mins and temp gauge rises for about 5-10 mins and then drops. what can i check to make my fan work normally?? would i need a new thermostat?
Check the fan switch, it's a 2-wire plug on the thermostat housing. If you unplug it, then the fan should quit running like that. If so, get a new switch.
If that doesn't make it stop, then you'll have to check for a stuck fan relay or something.

somebody probably hooked it up that way. did you just buy this car? many people just hardwire it up this way as a band-aid fix for a bad fan switch or bad fan relay.

You've found the problem.
Replace the fan switch. Be prepared to put the new one in quickly, then you won't lose much antifreeze from the hole.

I guess you ask for the one that goes for your block, since the thermostat housing is kinda like part of the block.
I bet they're all the same anyway...
