What do you mean it isn't turning on when it is supposed to?

Yes, it could be your fan switch.

is it not turning on when its supposed to? or is it not turning on at all? if its not turning on when it supposed to i would check into the coolant temp sensor. if its not turning on at all, check the fan itself. also when u filled the car back up with coolant after replacing the t-stat, did u let the radiator burp itself?

Hmm, I had a similar problem, but the fan would barely ever turn on, it ended up being the switch. For the time being, it was hard wired, and it was constant. But it was the switch that failed.

welll , thanks to autozone for selling me 2 bad thermostats....i rigged tthe fan to be on all the time this morning to see if in deed it was the fan switch....which in the end i think it was.....but i bought a thermostat at autozone ,installed it , lower hose was cold , not luke warm , but cold , so i took it out and got another one , faulty too!!!! so i got another one , and now it works perfectly
