Race Engine Break In Period???
Break-in requirements depend on what the engine builder clearanced your engine to. If the oil clearances are "tight" as in factory spec, then mileage is going to be required. This can also be a matter of opinion as well. If "I" built a race motor, clearances would be a little looser then Little or no break-in would be required.
By race motor, I assume you mean forged pistons.
Run it for 20 minutes then change the oil.
Put it on a dyno and run it slowly up to redline about 10 times in 10 minutes.
Run it hard and tune it.

u need to seat the piston rings...and its like any new motor. i would suggest going easy on the motor and bringing up rpm in 1000 increments (3000 for first 200 miles, 4000 after 3000 miles, etc) for at least 1000 miles before going all out on the motor.

its hard to do 1000 miles on the track.
