Well, a long time ago in a galaxy far away... i drove a Toyota Paseo. It was in PERFECT condition, but we had some preventive maintenance done to it. I think just the water pump and the timing belt. Anyway, the shop tried to pull some BS with the water pump and we got our money back. (now that I think of it, I shouldnt have taken the money, shouldve taken them to court.) We thought they just left the old water pump in there, but they really messed something up... one day the check engine light came on and the temperature was HOT. I couldnt go any faster than 70mph, pulled over opened the hood steam flew out and coolant was splashing all over. my dumbass kept driving home and sooner or later i couldnt go any faster than 40mph, then it died. couldn't start. I sold it for a stupidly low price that i am regretting now lol.

sorry for the long post, but I'm just curious as to what happened. What went wrong under the hood, and how much would it have costed me to repair? just curious.... its too late now
