quick qiestion on exhuasts...
1 - exhaust manifold is bolted onto the head.
2 - head-pipe, or Honda usually calls this the "A" pipe.
(a tube header replaces the combination of #1 & #2)
3 - catalytic converter
4 - middle pipe, including middle muffler, Honda usually calls this the "B" pipe. It extends to near the rear axle.
5 - rear pipe, rear muffler, Honda usually calls this the "C" pipe?

#2 is the A-pipe, it bolts to the manifold, runs under the oilpan, & bolts to the front of the cat. If you buy a 2-piece header, like DC, the 2 pieces will replace the manifold & the A-pipe. If you buy a 1-piece header it still replaces both parts, but now they're not separate.
The B-pipe runs from the back of the cat (just about under the shift lever), to a point next to the RR wheel. A "cat-back" system includes the B-pipe & the rear section. An axle-back system just includes the rear sections.
