Last time I bought oem mains I thought they came as a set, I know the rods do....

...now Im ordering from AcuraOEMparts.com and they are sold seperately as upper and lower??? Is this correct?

Also they are listed as TAIHO or DAIDO ....whats the difference?

 

Rods do not either. Check your Helms.

 

Yeah you have to buy each bearing half individually, which is good. You can get your clearances pretty exact that way. When I bought sets of bearings, I've just stuck to all Taiho or all daido. I don't remember which. Never found out if there was a difference, but my motor's got >15000 miles on it and haven't had a problem.

 

you know now that you guys mention it, I do seem to remember bitching about having to open all those goddamn plastic packages and bitching about why they didnt come in pairs....

...does anyone know the difference in the taiho vs. daido???

another side note, im doing a lsv and I know you can use any 94-01 gsr pump, however the part number for a '95 is 19200-P72-003 and the part number for a '01 is 19200-P72-013 and it says (yamada) after it. There is a price difference, so does anyone know the difference in pumps?

 

the later pump has a boss for the cfs sensor
