Have A Question About ACL Bearings..
First, i would like to say, this is NOT a oem vs acl bearing thread, i do not want to turn it into one, i dont want people to argue an make smart comments please. i just have a simple question for people who actually know what there talking about...
Okay, with that out of the way.. This is my first engine build, i am going to be taking my motor to the machine shop very soon for bore, hone and assembly.. i am going to be using brand new eagle rods and the crank will be micro polished. im soo confused on this whole bearing thing its not even funny.. i know there suppose to be measured an all that good stuff, but i see so many people running acl bearings without a problem.. i know acl's are not a one size fits all. i would like to have EVERYTHING i need for the machine shop ahead of time so i can get my motor back in a timely matter, and i dont get raped on prices buying through them.. my question is, do i have a good chance of the acl bearings fittings since i will be using brand new eagle rods, an having my crank micro polished.. if so or if not could you please explain?. any input on this i would greatly appreciate it.. i would like to use acl's for a few reasons, because of price, recommendations, and ive heard good things about them.. if anybody could help me clear this up i would appreciate it.. thank you

It's actually very simple. If the clearances with the ACL's installed fall within the clearance range they will work.I don't worry if the rod clearance is a few tenths big,but the mains need to be within spec. The main clearance grows because or the aluminum block. The only way you will know is to buy, install and check the ACL's.
