Default Quick B series questions.

I was wondering if the waterpipe and thermostat housing off of a b18a1 would fit on a b16a.

Also, there is a three eights npt (or is it a five sixteenths npt) port on the intake side by the dizzy...Does that port see legitimate oil pressure when idling? Or does it only see oil pressure when high cam comes in?

On top of that, what is the power limit on stock B-series sleeves?

Thanks

Not sure what port on the intake you are referring to but it is not an NPT size on a Honda engine, gotta be metric thread.
I know people use a 1/8th NPT tread in the block for the oil pressure sending unit, it is close size wise, and will work for a bit but its not the right size!

I guess I'll have to take a picture. But it IS a 5/16 npt. It is on the intake side of the head, facing the firewall, right above the water passage on the intake manifold, near the distributor.

if its the same port i'm thinking of then its the one used to supply oil pressure to the head when you do a ls/vtec. except the oil is fed to it from the sandwich plate instead of taken from that point. what do you plan to use it for?

stock power limits for b series sleeves are 500-600whp, however thats not saying its safe. i wouldnt personally run anymore then 400-450 on stock sleeves with a great tune! great tune being the key words there! hope this helps!

Thanks man, and yes, I am talking about the port you feed oil into on an LS-V conversion. I was hoping to be able to hook up an oil pressure gauge to that port, but did not know if it saw oil pressure when the motor is idling.
