question regarding oxygen sensor wiring
Im running four shielded wires to ecu. I cut into the wires just before the ecu connector and have white green, orange black, and white spliced from the o2(i picked up a used pigtail oxygen sensor connector from the junkyard and just disconnected mine for the time being). When I got to yellow black I got to thinking.... I see that white green and yellow appear to join with other sensors somewhere in the mitchell wiring diagram. Did I just cut off the ground to other sensors? Would I cut off the power by wiring straight to a power pin for the oxygen sensor ?
The reason I'm running new wires is because I finally threw a code for o2 sensor...code 1. Tho there is continuity from the o2 connector to the ecu connector on all four wires I think something is bad, maybe signal wire shielding is not working or it's touching ground or power or something. When I replaced my fuel injectors thinking my injectors were the problem, it actually blew the backup fuse. I gotta think somewhere in the oxygen sensor circuit there's something shorting itself or something. I get continuity through the C210 connector from my original oxygen sensor connector with three wires but strangely white green doesn't test good for continuity through it even white green does go through the connector, but still manages to reach the ecu connector so I guess it takes a separate path.
thanks in advance to the electrical guys out there

Hesitant to get into a swapped mess, but you seem to have a good head on you. Plus I had an H22 swapped CB7 for 5 or 6 years before it was totaled. Fun sleepers
What o2 sensor are you using?(From what year and car) What wiring harness are you using?

Code 1 on a 91 accord is for O2 content, it indicates a problem with the mixture being out of range. Slight chance it could be a wiring issue but I would start with checking mixture.
With sensor connected backprobe signal pin going into ecu. You want to check for voltage with a dvom. When you start the car cold it should rear more than .8 volts. When the car is warm remove a vacuum line while running and you should have less than .25 volts.
Codes 41 and 43 are for the heater, when there is a problem they will set within a minute of starting the car.
Hope this helps
