I have a b20 w/b16 head, i was wondering what kind of timing belt would be perfect to have on there. (i have an ls one on there but it is semi loose, plus the place where u can tighten the belt is maxed) i've been told too, to get a gs-r oil pump cause the crv one doesn't feed enough oil for vtec? thanks for ur help

 

if your using ls oilpump use ls belt. if gsr oil pump gsr belt. see what i mean??

 

will it hurt the eng. if i use the gs-r belt with crv oil pump?

 

don't use the crv oil pump, use a gsr one (it can handle revving higher), if you don't do this it will kill your engine!

 

The belt matches the block. CRV/LS block = CRV/LS timing belt.

You only change the belt to a GSR when you use a GSR water pump, not the oil pump.

 

i sugjest doing it right the first time instead of crying about it later.... just get a gsr oil and water pump and use gsr timing belt....thats the safest route

 

gsr and b20 oil pump same part number. and yes you just go by what water pump you have.
